Prof. dr. Haili Hughes

Dr Haili Hughes was a teacher and leader for over 15 years before she moved into the university sector. Before joining Academica University of Applied Sciences, she led the coaching and mentoring provision in the Education Faculty of the University of Sunderland in England. She combines her Professorship with working as Director of Education at IRIS Connect and as an ITT Quality Advisor for the Department for Education in England. She speaks in hundreds of schools a year and facilitates the Early Career Framework and NPQs. She has written five education books, with four more on the way in 2025. She is an elected member of the Chartered College of Teaching.
